Planetside won't start, help

I just decided to get back into planetside for a bit, being free and all. I will load up the launcher, patch it up and all. Then when I click play the music starts playing and the screen goes black. Nothing else ever happens. I have done multiple full scans. What could be causing this?

I recently upgraded my video card to an 7800 GS AGP if that makes a difference.

Edit: nvm I fixed the problem, played planetside and decided the game sucks... once again
