New to Planetside!

Morning to you all,

Well recently i've decided to play a new MMO. I've come from 3 years of Dark Age of Camelot, but now it's 'dying' in a way.

I've been browsing the net and PS caught my eye. A couple of easily answered questions to the experienced player will be asked, if you could answer i'd be very greatful.

Is planetside dying? Whats the population of the Werner server during peak times?

I've downloaded the reserves package, once i reach BR6 will i need to start all over again or can i just renuw my subscription and upgrade my account or do i need to go to the local game shop and buy a full box-set ?

To cut a long story short, is it worth playing Planetside? It looks a great deal of fun to play with the base capturing and so on.
Thanks for taking the time to read!

Can't really comment on server population at any given time, mostly because it fluctuates alot. The best way for you to find out would be to just play the Reserves for awhile and get a feel for it yourself.

In regard to the Reserves, even though the character limit for it is BR6/CR2, you can upgrade to a full account from the Reserves at anytime. With upgrading, your characters will be kept intact, so you can continue leveling them up further. There's nothing extra to download or anything as far as I know.. you're account simply switches over to full subscription (which unlocks you to advance further) and you pay monthly for it from then on....

If your hardware and internet connection can handle it, try pushing the max viewing distance to the limit... Although that way you'll still see farther scenery and not necessarily the enemy... but experience will give you the knowledge that normally nobody fires a huge amount of ammunition in a single direction other than against any enemy...

Agreed, it's probably your view distance. I've never seen a large amount of people just fire at nothing for any extended period of time.
