I finally joined the world of mobile computing having just received my Asus W3Jp
Specs: Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0 ghz 1gb of 667mhz ram(a second is on order now) Radeon X1600 graphics 100gb hard disk, bluetooth, and A/B/G wireless. 14.1 inch wide screen and has a aluminum lid/frame, it's very solidly built. As a freebee It also had a $50 Bluetooth mouse included. It's not the BEST performer in the world, making some compromise for portability, but that makes it perfect for college student uses. It's basicaly a Macbook pro in specs however smaller and with windows. couple pics(I couldn't get a good angle, I'm dling a bunch of stuff and don't want to f it up by unpluging it):

I got it from milestonepc.com.

My friend was looking to pick up a nice little laptop (He has a monster "I eat souls" desktop who's Motherboard took the shit on him - water cooling was leaking). I reccommended an ASUS but he ended up getting a Dell XPS with the 12 inch screen, claiming that he wasn't going to be using it for anything important anyway.
For a 12 inch screen, its a little bulky, but it's ultra portable anyway, which is less then I can say about my MBP.
