Sporkfire has made an annoucment on the OF reguarding PlanetSide and some various World Changes this weekend..

Hey all,

I just wanted to give you all a heads up that this will be a great weekend to play PlanetSide. You all know that there are changes brewing across the surface of our planet. But dramatic changes to a world over the course of days, rather than the usual millenia can have (literally) seismic repurcussions.

Starting tomorrow, these effects will make themselves known across all PlanetSide servers simultaneously. They will continue all weekend long, culminating on Monday as Auraxis goes through the final hours of its transformation.

As stated before, the above events will happen concurrently on all servers, regardless of timezone, including the final event. While we realize that this will not be at an optimal time for our customers playing on the Werner server, it is the best option. Scheduling this series of events seperately for any server would cause an extended period of downtime that we do not find acceptable for our customers. We apologize for that inconvenience but also hope you'll agree that the end payoff will be worth the compromise.

However, the final event of all of this will be one that all players can experience the very first time they log in afterward. Nobody has to miss it, regardless of timezone.

So be sure to play this weekend and see what they have in store!
