Any hope?

Is there any hope for this ever going F2P? or at least B2P then F2P?

I bought this game when it first game out but never really played it. (except during the reserve program )

It has been many years....

This might be a stupid question but none of my friends are willing to shell out $12 a month for this game. They say it's dated and dying.

But when we played during the reserves it was fun. Crashing planes into people for the fun of it.

Is there a valid reason for PS not going free?

I wouldn't mind paying the monthly fee if the game is unique and fun, but right now the player base is very small for this type of genre. (I think it could be fixed by consolidating the servers into one) It doesn't even have to go free, but it does need more advertisement and recognition.

the only way ps will be free is the reserves.
if it will be totally free, to many ppl who just want to ruin the expirenece will join ps.

It costs sony money to run planetside no matter how dated or low the population is, it is not feasible to make the game free beyond trial methods.

well i love planetside.and i wish it were back in the days when you could go to a big battle on some continent and there would be 150+ people at least for each army fighting over one tiny base.

where snipers could shoot randomley and still manage to hit something due to the massive amounts of people

When you looked into the LFS menu and saw more than 2 people with the LFS sign.

im designing a banner. hell ill design 3 banners for signatures. what we could do to help this dieng game. is add these banners to our signatures on other forums... if SOE wont advertise for this great game, why dont we do it? ill post the banners within the next few days. check often.

One of my Clans Affiliates wants my team to make a game like PS after POC11746, but no matter how well we make the game it cant be popular unless it had a big brand name like SOE...
