Anyone on these forums have contact to the Planetside Devs?

I would like to ask you for a request to fix the game on Vista. I'm trying to get people to try the games trial on the Station launchpad. However EVERY single one of them has a crash as they load upto the Sanc and the compatibility mode doesn't work. So having a game that doesn't work with vista isn't good for subscribers....

I emailed Smedley about this too but he said nothing yet and I'd just like this issue that has been around since 2007 to finally be fixed.

The way I see it is this is a small fix for a big gain because if people can't play the trial, they just uninstall it and never look back. Wouldn't it make sense for them to get the game working on Vista? I really want to play this game with my friends but they use Vista and frigging can't play.

Just looking at the tech forums and this guy had to resort to dual booting...

Well most normal people who were to try the game can't be bothered to do that or other work arounds and just uninstall.

Please Fix vista with Planetside.

Re: Anyone on these forums have contact to the Planetside Devs?

Got it working on Vista 64-bit with no issues whatsoever. I follow the directions below, except it runs fine with Windows 98 and Windows XP compatibility (try 95 first). I do make sure the 3 visual components are turned off. I think that's the most important part.

I'm running a Q6600 quad, EVGA 8800 GTS 512MB, 4GB RAM. No issues, in fact, PS reports frame rates as high as 150-175 in the sanc.

Install it
Run the program compatability wizard and select "Planetside" to run with the following settings:
Use Windows 95 Settings and Disable the last three visual components
Turn off the Side Bar
