I liked the pictures

I am not positive if this is official new information, but the interview specifically stated that crouching reduces the cone of fire. I know we all thought this intuitively, but I believe that was the first time it was stated officially.

It was never annouced officially, but think about it. Do they really have to tell you that kneeling down will make you fire more accurately. That is like saying flying a plane parallel to the ground is more effective then flying it straight into a lake... ehem Hamma, apparently you didn't get the memo.

Thanks for the link, man.

And Jaged, I beg to differ on your assessment of BF1942 game mechanics. You may not notice much of a difference if you are using the Assault or Medic MGs, but the sniper rifle has a noticeable difference.

Seeing the "cone of fire" reticle in some of the media clips I've watched, and knowing how movement affects that sounds like it will be a lot of fun. I'm glad they're doing it, and yes I agree that it makes sense. "Twitch" gamers may not like it, but if you take the time to line up your target, you SHOULD get some sort of benefit from it.

They've got an OLD vanguard pick, from back when it had a second 150mm barrel as a placeholder for the 20mm cannons.

Goofy lookin beast.

The footer says this article was published in 10/02, so it's not exactly fresh info. They hadn't even released the implant info at the time the interview was done.

Old. Interesting though, as kind of an evolutionary snap-shot.

Wow. Nice. A 24/7 war....interesting. Who's going to be on watch at 3AM everyday Not me. It will be very difficult to hold a base when someone around the world is taking the base while your sleeping. We need to sleep sometime at least 4 or 5 hours a day...right? That will make it difficult for effective clan play. At least that's the way I see it right now.

I think they settled that problem already, I forget where I read it but I believe they are going to have something so that isn't so easy.

PS: If it isn't impossible, me and my Euro friends will be on at 5 AM takin over THE WORLD! MUWHAHAH!

Guys dont forget that the servers are in diff locations so the eastern server will likely have people in eastern time zones. Therefor at 3 a.m. Its gonna be pretty dead in the eastern server.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that SOE would have Euro and Asian servers. If that's the case, why would they play USA East/West/Central?

I have a feeling people will be on 24/7, but that only the hardcore PS'ers will be on late at night / early in the morning. Significantly fewer people, in any case.
