I can find plenty of speculation about the comic of the guy pushing a button, but no answer anywhere, so what was it?

Anyone know what occurred on the anniversary that might explain the button pushing? If its all empire vehicles I'll be really disappointed.

That comic strip is like a mystery on Lost. We can kinda work out what it was for but its impossible to know exactly what it all meant.

I'm not sure if the button even worked. It kinda looks like it is about to explode or something. Maybe this is like all those times they try to go to lightspeed in the Millenium Falcon in The Empire Strikes Back.
