Whenever i try to launch planetside this error comes up

I had the same problem when I wanted to install PlanetSide. I tried everything till I just said screw it and competely reformatted my computer. Installed PlanetSide before I installed anything else (including my virus scanner) and it worked.

After I installed my virus scanner I got problems again, so I ended up changing virus scanners and I've been able to play problem free ever since.

Try doing a full reinstall into a different folder, had this issue myself and that was the only thing that fixed it. Others might have had better luck though

Yes I know hot to fix this.

Looks like your using Windows Vista or Windows 7.

You need to go and find planetside.exe and run as windows xp mode .

Happened the same to me, it took more than 2 weeks of my 45 days free playtime till I found the "run in xp-mode" accidentally by rightclicking on PS-icon... It was so frustrating to found this SIMPLE solution after such a long time of trying everything but reformatting...
