Very simple. I want to rapell from a galaxy or phantasm in PS2. Likewise towers/base walls, cliff walls, whatnot.
limitations within reason don't bother me. I just think it would be awesome to do. Last edited by p0intman; 2011-07-19 at 12:44 AM. |

Would it completely replace hot dropping though? I've actually been thinking about this that the modern player might frown for dropping a couple of hundred feet with no aid and not taking damage or anything.
A fast rapelling speed and, although a bit unrealistic, you would rapell with a rope from any height, even max height (long ass rope ). Although, this would mean that the thing would have to be stationary... which makes it a very dangerous thing to attempt.. |

I was actually thinking let the rope move with the gal, or the phantasm. anyone on it moves with them. That would be fun and potentially a way to pass the boredom when/if it comes up. might even inspire teamwork and trust in a gal pilot. |

Since hotdropping from a Gal isn't broken, I don't think it needs to be "fixed" with rapelling. However, when the devs talk about more vertical gameplay, specifically like scaffolding along a cliff wall, something like rapelling becomes alot more useful. Maybe this is going to be part of the role of jetpacks, but I like the idea of rapelling down a cliff to get to a vantage point, or rapelling from a roof down to a seldom used access point for a sneak attack.
