Hey
I have been reading around for this info, but can't find it anywhere, so here it goes: Will the drivers and pilots be able to hop out of the vehicle and repair the damage done to them? In PS everyone who is anyone on the driving/flying scene has at least basic engineering, most even have assault engi, just to speed up the repair speed (like me). If the drivers would not have the ability to repair, the two manned vehicles could still run with engineer as gunner, but what about the one seaters? Also, kicking gunners out just because they have the wrong class does not sound good for gameplay. |

You can't find it anywhere because the information doesn't exist anywhere. We don't know yet.
If you want to accept speculation in its place, given the desire for a more fast-paced gameplay style, I would expect that vehicle repairs will be pretty accessible. Driving all the way back to a friendly facility to repair, or even worse to pull another identical vehicle, just doesn't fit with the pacing that the developers are aiming toward. If you want to really stretch the limits of what we already know:

They have said there will be a variety of different equipment you can install on vehicles. It is conceivable that a self repair mechanism might be something you can install in lieu of something else.
Its unknown if there will be a pilot class that operates vehicles or not, or if engineers can pilot, or if all classes will be able to cart around repair gadgets and whatnot and engineers are the best at it. |
