Sanctuary.

I haven't been following this closely so may be echoing other threads but I will miss it. Sanctuary is one thing that makes the game so different and playable. The ability to assemble a huge force in the Sanc and plan an attack, moving out En Masse was important and might have been a nuisance in recent years when the game become very quiet but when busy will be a sadly missed feature and might just sway me against. I don't want this game to become more like the competition, THAT is well taken care of by the usual suspects (BFBC2 for me and the upcoming BF3) dare to stay different Sony, you usually do, the new Tablet is an example of that.

Re: Sanctuary.

Not really I was just venting but thanks, it seems I not alone thankfully! I DO feel that people who want it gone probably did not play when the game was in it's prime (2004-2007).
Back then we would congregate and prep huge raids to reclaim planets (obviously not Planets originally) or just dance!! (yes, dance!)
We would regularly be frustrated by Planets being maxed out and have to queue to get in which was frustrating as Hell but the game was so good we'd do it anyway, I stopped playing when it got quiet and have returned from time to time to find it deserted (Werner) even the eventually server unification did nothing as it was just too late. I understand the desire to change things but if PS just becomes yet another FPS Massive or not it will fail.

What is a FPS Massive? If you mean MMOFPS I don't get your statement saying "yet another FPS Massive". There are that many MMOFPS out there.

And why does something like this need to exist in the same form as it did before. They already stated each empire will get a safe-zone to deploy from.

Re: Sanctuary.

It should have read "FPS, massive or not" (ie: First Person Shooter, massive or not) I deconstructed the acronym to make the point. Why does my opinion not count? I'm not arguing against change, just hoping they won't throw out the baby with the bathwater.
Anyway, perhaps you can make a point without just flaming mine?

From what I have read sancs are being removed but all the functionality that they provided will still be included.

I guess we'll have to wait until beta to see if the new system is as good as the old one.

Once beta is underway we can complain

I flamed u? Where? I'm just debating man. Don't take what someone says that doesn't see your point of view as flaming.

No way to secure a continent?

I was hoping they'd just make the last two territories on separate continents a faction controlled be uncapturable, to make the world more fluid and dynamic in territories.

Need a safe place to organize? Try one of the secured areas on a continent, instead of a completely unassailable sanctuary.

Making and holding your own "Sanctuary" for your faction (And possibly outfit as well) would be a really rewarding experience.

I almost picture home conts staying ingame and having like the very last base being giant and uncappable and possibly sheilded, this would be pretty close to sanc.
