I've never watched Dr. Who in my life, but this is just creepy.

Is the whole show like that?

no, but some episodes are. The silence episodes come to mind. I won't spoil anything. Start from the first season and watch them all the way through. Amazing sci-fi on scale with Stargate.

Weeping angels are so much more than that scene shows. They have a lot of powers.

Seriously, "acquire" the first series of the rebooted doctor who from 2005, with Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor and watch it from there. It hadn't been on for more than a decade before that, so everything was re-introduced for the newbies.
