Does anyone see a landing gear? Based on what I can see there, you could probably land it evenly over the missile launchers and chaingun base but it seems odd to land on your weapons... Also it looks like the the left/right turning mechanism in the rear comes about even with weapons, it would require quite a stable frame if that is the case.

Reaver kick's so much ass. Everything about it is great. My favorite aspect is how exposed all of the weapon system's are.
Now PLEASE do no pull a Battlefield 3 and over simplify flight physics. Battlefield Bad Company 2 had it right. VTOL and aircraft in general are suppose to have a learning curve. Good to see you again EVILPIG. Haters gonna hate. Paint is legit Last edited by HELLFISH88; 2011-11-08 at 03:41 PM. |

Ahhh pig! people round these parts demand quality! haha Oh, and i suspect that the NC just couldn't afford any more salvaged ironing boards and broken deskchairs to weld together the reaver some landing gear. Adding landing gear would really be too fancy. |

What the hell are you talking about? It was SO EASY to fly helicopters in BFBC2... they didn't even let you roll! It was like training wheels. Battlefield 3 is MUCH, MUCH closer to an accurate flight model than BC2 ever was or could be. There aren't even jets in it.

The Helicopter's in Battlefield 3 seem simplified to me because of how stable they are. You can't really pull off the same maneuvers and they all feel exactly the same. The engine even allows the helicopters to automatically Hover without the need for the player managing the throttle or engine. Take Jet's out of the equation. the Jets are fine....which just makes the problems with the helicopters stand out more. I can't be the only person who noticed this. Nor am I an engineer so I'm not quite sure how to describe this. I know Smedlonious mentioned how much he enjoyed the BFBC2 flight physics and regaled how it inspired him for Planetside 2 content. |

It is a lot more clear that it is a 1 seater now. Since we have seen missile pods added to both the Mosquito and Reaver models, I wonder what the equivalent for the Scythe will be? If it's more energy based, it may be a little more unique looking of an attachment, but I assume it will still be a visible addition to the air frame. Maybe we get to shoot little dust busters out of it. |
