FTP or Subscription , what do you wan't ?

I don't agree with FTP i much prefer subscription as i think FTP will open a can of worms and encourage hackers and it will encourage tempory players that will come create an account and play for one week then don't play again . If planetside 2 turns out to be a really good game which i'm sure it will be , then players will be more than happy to subscribe , look at Rift , thats a new game and that already has over 2 million players and that is a subscription based game

I'm all for giveaway model. It's a payment model when you're paid to play the game and get cheats (which are obviously not prohibited) for free.

While yea, been discussed to death, but I'd personally go average retail box price, after that free to play + cash shop. Would do loads to keep chronic cheaters at bay, while still being a somewhat attractive game to try out.

Not to mention, people could later easily return to the game. Like currently, I'd love to pop on at times for some PS, but I can't really afford the sub just to play a few times a month.

But, to recap pretty much all threats on that topic, and just say what most of the community agrees on: Free to play + Box price, no selling power.

I'm with Coralden. Put it on a shelf for someone to buy, but they don't need to pay a monthly fee to play. Planetside NEEDS people playing the game, and making it F2P after an initial purchase is very well received, if any of those P2P's-gone-F2P's are any indication.
