you have to remember, when the first planetside was released, we didnt have the social outlets like we do today, so that being said, it would be easier for them to communicate with us this time around. also, they are building this sequel with an established fan base.

UI is one of the most important things in a game by far. A great one can make or break atmosphere (see Metroid Prime for an amazing UI). Really great stuff getting to know the dev team like this in the updates! I hope this game will be a resume builder for them

I can see how being a quant would help with UI seeing how they're dealing with a very fast environment and need clarity in what their read outs display. Very impressive background there.

It's resume builder for us, and we aren't even developing it.
Everyone's credentials make me all that much more confident that this game will kick major ass once it comes out.

Didn't really give us much information we haven't heard before, I was hoping for some details on empire-specific UI or something, maybe even a couple of screenshots. Still a really interesting article though, and his choice of faction is certainly wise
