hrm, just saw this:

My 5970 wont be running many games on high settings on it for sure, but ill plan to upgrade that. just wanted any feedback possible on a monitor with that much resolution. currently have a 1920 x 1200 27inch. If you feel like dropping $1,000 on an barely noticeable upgrade, more power to ya. I'm guessing you'll be doing fast paced gaming which makes this upgrade kind of pointless. With frames rushing by so fast you won't be noticing the 'detail upgrade'. It's made more for desk jobs where you can view photos/graphs with much higher detail.
