Gamebreaker.tv covers latest PS2 vid

It's one of the first stories they cover on the show (show is called This Week in MMO). To summarize their view on it; production value of the vid wasn't impressive, but the actual gameplay footage looked promising.

They do tend to rant about the devs not sounding too excited and such for a while, but in the end to chat about how they can't wait for Planetside 2 to get released regardless.

Those FOOLS! The reason the Devs speak in normal tones is because they're EXHAUSTED from working 9 days a week on Planetside 2! Don't they remember seeing Higby knock back one Red Bull after another? Our Devs are fucking HARD CORE.

And Hell yeah; these reviewers BETTER be excited for Planetside 2 o.O

Is this the very first video/news/blog/info they have seen on the game? Higby is probably one of the most energetic and charismatic devs I have ever seen.

Hmm, not impressed with gamebreaker...

On another note though, I think Hackney was trying to steal my soul.

The Hackney Stare still freaks me out whenever I see it, but I stopped watching after they told the same joke two times in a row. I regularly comb for Planetside 2 coverage but I don't think we need to jump and make a new topic on every single mention that doesn't include new content or observations that we missed.

This foolishness should subside once we get this footage in HD, hopefully with some additional gameplay and a better sense of the scale.

Yeah, they make a good point about the Hackney 1000 Yard Stare. We've seen him in other things so we know he is a cool guy, but if that was your introduction to him...well yeah, I feel sorry for Josh. Whoever made that vid didn't put him in the best light.

As for them saying the devs don't act excited, I couldn't help but lol. I don't think Higby, T-Ray, PurrfectStorm, Arclegger, etc. could act any MORE excited about PS2. These Gamebreaker guys just haven't seen it yet.

Also, it was a bit silly that they are ripping on the resolution when it was posted by a fan who pulled it from the Chinese site. Whatever. I have a feeling the first "real" trailer will blow minds because even they concede that the gameplay is really hot.

So yeah, I'm sure SOE is on it, and we'll likely have to wait until the maxes are done before we see it, but they need to make a true trailer that is worthy of this epic game.

This video is BS. Devs are devs, they are not a fucking community manager. They don't need to be very sociable or talkative to make great games.

they said that, too. their point (which is legit in my eyes) is, that this video should have featured a professional community relation manager instead of the developers.

i agree that the ranting they do is stupid, especially because the footage is not from the official mainsite. but after all, the chinese site is official, too. and the video came from there.
