Sorry if its been suggested, ok, on to idea...
I think it would be fantastic if, in the Engineering tree, there is a deployable, or adaptor that allows the Sunderer to be fitted with "rings / clamps" (or whatever) on the top of the truck that allow the truck to be transported via an air vehicle. I say Galaxy, cause anything else is probably too small, and the Galaxy works so well with the Sunderer. Why not the Sunderer tree? Im not necessarily against it... but I think requiring teamwork factionwide by making Engineers necessary for something like this keeps it from being so ubiquitous, and forces teamwork, and value to the engineering field. Kinda like this bad example, but Im low on time... you know what I mean... ( http://sj.sunne.ws/2011/10/25/army-c...nty-cornfield/ ) |

I would like to have the option to tether a Vanguard/Sunderer to the bottom of the Galaxy. I think that would be a fantastic option since we are seeing the Lodestar not return.
Maybe as a side upgrade for the Galaxy |

The whole point of the new sundy is to bash its way through layers of CE and AV before unloading 12 heavily armed intruders into a hostile CY.
Sounds fun. So why cut all that fun out by dropping the damned thing directly into the CY? And why carry a Sundy at all if thats not what you're going to do? |

Have you ever dropped 2 Sunderers simultaneously at the front door and back main doors of a Enemy facility and fired both EMPS at once? That's a good enough reason to do it. Its pretty dam effective at clearing the CY allowing your main assault to push in.
There is more than a few ways to use them. I was stating that I would like to see the Galaxy have some form of an ability to haul heavier vehicles like the MBT or Sunderer due to us losing the Lodestar. Edit: I don't need to bash down the front door sacrificing a sunderer or two to clear all the Mines when I can EMP the whole CY and still retain 90% of my sunderers health. Then allowing me to finish up the rest of the mines. Last edited by Hmr85; 2012-01-29 at 07:19 PM. |

I would like to have the ability to haul it to the front lines. Then load up on troops to make the push or even have the ability to be sneaky and haul it around behind enemy lines. Anyways I'm out, let me know what you think.

However, if the Galaxy is reduced to less speed (whatever is balanced), and the Sunderer must be empty, and the Galaxys guns are obscured by the Sunderer below it, so its gunship abilities are restricted, I think we might have enough ideas to get all the coolness, without being overpowered or taking the fun out of the piledriver-transport function of the ground-bound Sunderer... |

The ATV's the U.S. army uses has grab-hooks on it so choppers can just swoop in and snag them. It should be fairly easy to put some kind of magnetic clamp or something onto lightnings and quads. I like this general idea, being able to attach a couple vehicles to the bottom of the gal on the fly. Would have to drop them before being able to land though.
