It seems some people are still getting confused by the weapons being presented these past few weeks. From what we know so far this is how they work.

Each empire will have their own HA

NC - Not shown/confirmed yet (Jackhammer? The "Gauss" mini gun TRay posted?)

TR - MCG

VS - Not shown/confirmed yet (Lasher?)

Each empire will have their own AV

NC - Not shown/confirmed yet (TRay has posted an unnamed NC rocketlauncher)

TR - Not shown/confirmed yet (We have seen what looks like a striker before)

VS - Not shown/confirmed yet

Each empire will have their own Pistol

NC - Magshot

TR - Repeater

VS - Beamer

Each empire will have their own MA Rifle

NC - Gauss

TR - Cycler

VS - Pulsar

Each empire will have their own SMG (based off their MA)

NC - Tempest

TR - Not shown/confirmed yet

VS - Not shown/confirmed yet

Each empire will have their own LMG (based off their MA)

NC - Not shown/confirmed yet

TR - Cycler ARV

VS - Not shown/confirmed yet

Each empire will have their own Sniper Rifle (based off their MA)

NC - Bolt Driver

TR - Not shown/confirmed yet

VS - Not shown/confirmed yet

Each empire will have their own Shotgun

NC - Sweeper

TR - Not shown/confirmed yet

VS - Not shown/confirmed yet

So for both NC and TR week they showed the Pistol and Knife (tho these never actually got shown). So VS week will likely show their pistol/knife as well.

TR week also showed their MA, LMG, and HA.

NC week also showed their SMG, Sniper, Shotty.

VS week will likely show AV as its the only category we haven't been shown yet (unless there are ES SA weapons too)

VS week might also show their Vamp grenade since we will have ES nades as well.

Then there is also probably some NS weapons as well. I know we have seen a picture of a Punisher, but no suppressor, rocklet, or thumpers yet (I'm ok with no thumpers

).

Anyone still confused now?

Don't know about you but I'm really excited about the VS weapons/vehicles weeks. Things I'm dying to see: Scythe in action video and screenshots, also cockpit view. VS sniper rifle and scope interface.

I hope they don't plan on continuing to show tidbits every week at this pace. Or we will be waiting a while for Beta. We have hardly seen anything VS.

Didnt the TR got two HA? One being the MCG, one a bigger cycler?

I think it's safe to say next week will be VS week and then maybe we'll have a Nanite System week. That'll still wrap up before GDC.

The LMG was described as being exclusive to the heavy assault class though, so it's fair to call both the MCG and Cycler ARV as "heavy assault weapons".

Cycler ARV (Automatic Rifle Variant) - The high modularity of the Cycler weapon system allows Heavy Assault solders to field the battlefield with variants outfitted with heavy 20' barrels and 100 round drum magazines. The slight loss in accuracy is more than made up for in sustained fire and makes any Heavy Assault soldier deadly at close range.

So yeah, each empire gets two HA weapons. One really close range, the other kind of medium range?
