Anyone into it? Or do you prefer paintball instead?

That's pretty cool. I prefer airsoft myself as I'm more of a sniper, I've heard/read paintballs aren't very reliable at range as they lose speed much quicker. It's probably quite a bit more intense up close though.

It depends on a variety of factors: environment, weather, shooter, air supply, FPS rate, marker, ball, barrel. That's in technical terms for range and speed.

The reality is much different. There is no such thing as a paintball sniper in scenario woodsball. Anyone who tells you they're a paintball sniper is fooling themselves. At best they are a semi-automatic ranged marksman.

I play airsoft although we aren't allowed to go over 1 joule of power in Ireland due to the law, anything over that is considered a firearm. Airsoft is only legal by a technicality

Still you can have great fun.

I have so far in my collection

AK-47 (my favourite)
M-15 carbine
M-60
AK-74su
MP-5k
MP-5pdw
Styer Aug
H&K SL8
M-32 grenade launcher
MP-40
couple of gas powered Colt 1911's and a assortment of grenades.

That's quite a collection

I just have a UTG MK96 AWP rifle and a spring loaded 8946 M9 because I'm a cheap ass. I really enjoy the long range stuff, especially watching them look around surprised trying to figure out where the shot came from.

Paintball is my thing, though I occasionally play airsoft with friends.

Just wondering, am I the only guy in PSU going to the Battle Of Normandy in Skirmish, PA?

I don't go to Skirmish. I've heard reports about it not being the best field. Instead, I take my team to West Point Combat Classic. Which, as it happens, is having its 25th anniversary game this March - the scenario, coincidentally, is D-Day.

I own a p90 Airsoft gun set at 450 fps at 15 pellets a second. I used to play with my friends in HS who had also had nice airsoft guns so we'd get some nice ranged combat going. (Played in a pine tree farm before where you couldn't see 10 feet in front of you. It was intense). I had a coworker a few years ago that played for fun, but I haven't met too many people interested in it.

I'd try paintball, but I've been shot before with one at 15 feet and started bleeding. Friend of mine got two concussions from being hit in the head and was told he could never play it again. (He owned a paintball field). I've heard a lot of bad stories with paintball. Probably safer as an adult now though.

Any reputable non-military field won't let you chrono over 280 fps. Even military training won't go much higher than 300 fps.

Is that p90 being shot with .2s to get that high fps?

You can't use anything other than .2s in a real airsoft gun or they explode. I remember we put 0.12g BBs in my friend's Glock 18C and it shot broken BBs since they'd explode inside the gun. It's a good way to damage a gun.

The p90 is a Tokyo Marui AEG custom gearbox and battery. It was the only way to match my friend's gas guns.

.12's are fine for any spring pistol or cheap rifle, but they will most likely shatter inside the barrel of any decent gun. I use .28gs with my UTG MK96, anything less and they can't hit the side of a house at point blank. .28s are damn near pinpoint accurate up to 300 feet for that gun. It's a spring by the way... damn powerful spring.

Yes of course.I don't use .2s .I only use .25s even when playing CQB.I was asking because I was kinda shocked that a cqb gun even upgraded was shooting that high with .2s. Do you have a TBB in the gun?If you do what is the length?
