TR Maxes


I've just started playing the game and trying each faction and different cert variations. What I've noticed is how hindered TR Maxes are. They need to anchor to actually be able to do anything, this makes them prone to just about everything. Will TRs Maxes be altered in P2? I think I'm set on being TR because of the people I have been playing with and I'd like to use Maxes but their current incarnation is putting me off.

Apparently both the TR and NC MAXs get some version of their PS1 ability in PS2. So anchoring and shield are in at this point in some variation. Whether they'll play out the same, or how they'll be balanced in general, is another issue.

Well, you are playing a game that is 9 years old now.

TR lockdown has been the subject of some intense discussion over the years. It never really aligned with the intended design.

You can feel assured that the developers are aware of this and will be balancing with this in mind.

I'm telling ya, 300% fire rate and 100% shields while anchored and TR MAXes will be "balanced".

Kur your concerns should be balanced out in the beta. Personally i find the TR maxes great all 3 are capable provided they are used smartly.

Remember you are playing against lots of 7 year+ vets who know the in's and out's of pretty much everything so you will get countered quickly.

I always me gusta when I lock down in a TR max. Besides I think the TR max got an overdrive while walking later on in the game so it's fine.

Whenever I see a locked down TR max I only think "A look a free kill".

In an indoor capacity lockdown is inefficient and makes a large target very easy to hit with decimators.

I'm loving the game though, I'd just like to play with the TR maxes in PS2 without the lockdown etc.

Lockdown is back, as well as some kind of charge.

As long as the TR MAXs are effective without being locked down (sucks being a walking joke) it should be fine.

Plus nothing makes a defensive line like a wall of DC MAXs

You wouldn't have minded loxk down in the days of the AI Pounder MAX.

Happy pre-balance pass days, 3D explosions etc...
