I was hoping for a 'we are sick of Saddam wasting our time, fuck the UN's stalling as well, we are taking him out starting yesterday' or something along the lines of that........

I do agree with some as to the USA should step out of the UN and let them handle the world. But unfortunately if we did that the world would go to shit a lot faster IMO.

Hell was Rome that bad of an empire?

I didn't watch his speach cuz they usally don't say anything that everyone doesn't already know. Rome was bitchin no country was better than them until 1850 !!! they had too many slaves though. Greece had a better form of slavery that you could actually get out of and if you got away for more than 101 days you were free. Not saying this is good but better than most countries

. You know I just realized that we can never justify slavery as bad because its just our moral values that are also opinions

I saw a few things:

1) He was serious about what he felt was his responsibility.
2) He felt the deep conviction in what he has to do.
3) He cut to the truth; Res 1441 was unanimous. Disarm or be disarmed.

Pretty clear to me....

The economy is not set up like it used to be... War will not help the US economy.... if anything it will worsten it. Post war we may see a upswing.... who knows.... i'm no allen greenspan

The problem right now is the waiting and anticipation of what might happen. That is whats pissing off the economy.

It got much better after the gulf war, no reason to think it wont do the same here.
