Just curious, with the prevalance in OTHER games of the use of the nerf bat, which weapon do you think is most likely, from what we know, to be nerfed for being too powerful.
Course its all just speculation but hey, it does give you something to think about.

At any rate. I voted for stealth. It sounds like they have it worked out, I just have a feeling that It may work too good and will be nerfed. I guess that all depends on what they will allow the stealthed person to carry for weapons when PS is relased.

I really think enkidu is right. Its seems like theres never been a really good way to do stealth in a game. In teamfortress (every version of it) somehow everyone always new i was a spy disguised as a medic... so it sucked so it was pointless...
but then i saw someone talking about the total invisability for the spy but that was too powerful so they nerfed that... i just hope they actually work on all the stuff thats unbalanced to make it balanced instead of just making it suck and leaving it like that...

I vote sniper rifles. In every FPS, people complain about sniper rifles. Either they'll get nerfed or they'll start out nerfed, relative to the way sniper rifles have worked in similar games, like Halo, Tribes and Counterstrike. People just don't like running along in their suit of Super Wowzer Heavy Armor With Quad Barreled Machine Guns and Head Mounted Laser and Triple Spoilers if they just get beaned from some noob in light armor who is hiding in the bushes 1 mile away.
IMO, heavy armor should be immune to sniper rifles, since otherwise "big open map" + "slow moving armor" + "vulnerable to sniper" is going to mean nobody ever uses heavy armor. |

I wouldn't be too suprised to find that Some Other Thing will cause imbalances, something we know little or nothing about.
Maybe the Vanu MAX's weaponry is too powerful, or the Vanguard's armored so much it takes an act of NapalmEnima to kill it. Or the sniper rifle can carry too much ammo or... or or or or. We just don't bloody know enough. But based on what we DO know, I think they're gonna have to nerf the entire TR. We just kick too much keister. |
