Not fine with me whatsoever.
My FPS background is Quake and TFC, both of which I set my FOV to 135 which I believe is the perfect FOV, though for fast-paced shooters. I believe that PS2 should go up to 120.... though I would be content with 110. Please don't constrain my sight to 90, I really can't stand it. |

Distance. Increasing FOV increases how much you can see to your sides, below, and above you, at the cost of distance. Having a FOV of 10 would basically be a sniper scope.
Dedicated snipers are probably going to play in 60 exclusively. http://strlen.com/gfxengine/fisheyequake/compare.html Example pictures. Ignore the ones on the right. Not tuning your FOV to suit you is a bad idea. You could really improve your game with a better FOV. |
