Die for oil, sucker

Just a lil' link I found whilst searching for something totally unrelated to war! Funny what search engines throw at you, it's almost like they are telling us something...

http://www.electrotoxic.com/oil.htm

Think this refers to the previous 1991 conflict, but still applies today I guess.

Disclaimer: In no way does the link above reflect or otherwise the views of mikkyT or his associates

I sooo want to say something bout selfish whiney cowards and total lack of appreciation for honor, duty and country.

not to mention a lack of faith or the ability to stand for something bigger than ones self.

but I wont.

none the less, an "interesting" read.

(the above comments are in no way targeted towards the original poster...or even really the person who posted the site in the first place. just rambling opinions by someone of narrow vision, self righteously indignant attitude and a total lack of caffine)

peace

If the government was truthful and just said "hey we need the oil to stay rich." I'd join up and go frag some tyrants for their oil. Unfortunatly they have to make up a story and lie to the world to get the same goals done. I have no respect for those without honor or integrity.

Thus I like my countries Army and hate its government... I also hate a lot of officers. I like some but hate a lot more. Oh and I hate most civilians as well. I hate redlights and stop signs to. Have you seen this shit? It's like they're everywhere. I find that if you just go through them you get where you're going a lot faster.

So if this "Blood for Oil" argument was in reguard to the last "Blood for Oil" war in 1991 why don't we have the Oil?

That right, because it's not about Oil. Hippies are stupid drop outs that don't know there head from a hole in the ground. Try and use your brains people.

I'm all for a oil war. I say we take the entire Middle East. It would cost us some troops but it would be well worth it. This saving people shit always sucks. We never really get much out of it and everyone expects us to save their ass next.

Now if you'll excuse me my copy of SOCOM and network adapter are waiting for me to pick them up. No more renting!

So why do we go out and save piss ant countries? Why are we selective with the pissant countries that we go to help?

*hint* It is because we are looking to get something out of it.

Why do we get shit on? Why do other countries hate us so if all we are doing is helping?

*hint* It is because we usually get something out of it.

It seems very simple to me. All the major international players who are staunchly for war with Iraq stand to gain major oil deals. All the major international players who are against a war with Iraq stand to lose major oil deals. This is a fact, not speculation.

Everyone in the world is looking after their economic interests. Why is it so hard to believe that the US is doing the same.

Sounds more like a conspiracy theory to me. Making the "facts" more than they are is quite dangerous.

It's not about the oil itself. It is about selling the equipment to rebuild the demolished infrastructure of an oil-rich nation. At least, that was what it was about for Dick Cheney's company (along with a shit-ton of other large American and international corps).

Write it off as a conspiracy theory if you want, but no one even denies that two wholly-owned European subsidiaries of Halliburton made billions rebuilding Iraq after we turned them into a parking lot last time.

Did you know that the UN's Oil for Food program includes such foodstuffs as Telecommunications equipment and Oil Industry supplies and spare parts?

Did you know also that last summer, the program was extended to include less perishable foods, like construction, industry, labour and social affairs, Board of Youth and Sports, information, culture, religious affairs, justice, finance, and the Central Bank of Iraq.

For those of you wasting time thinking about conspiracy theories, let me just sum it all up for you real quick: Everyone is eeeeevil.

As one last note, WTF is anyone doing giving money to help support Iraqi Justice? Maybe it's because we get really good prices under the oil for food deal...

Every oil company in the world wil have an equal oppourtunity for the reconstruction of Iraq's oil industry. America's policy reflects this. To say otherwise is based on your own notions; not the offical standing of the United States government.

Who will decide the contracts? The Iraqi people once proper order is restored. When will this be? Any guess is as good as mine. But rest assured; Iraq will be paying for most of its own reconstruction.

America has stated that much.

I'm not saying what will happen after this war, I'm stating what did happen after the last one. I don't waste my time harboring notions about what the oil barons are going to do next, I find amusement enough seeing what they've already done.
