Hi all,
Now I have been kicking about on these forums for some time. And I have done a little growing up and come to realise, Planetside 2 is currently everything I want in a sequel to Planetside. Forget any flaming I have done, I put in down to beer and excitement lol. The dev team have clearly listened to the community, interacted with it and put a lot of passion in the game so far, and they continue to show the world that a team of game creators can and will listen to its fan base, and make the game they want everybody to love. To me this is the one thing that will make this game massive! Now I still hear folks talking about certain problems and issues (witch isn't bad), and I was one of these folks not so long ago. But really sit back and watch the latest footage, and really take in what this game is going to offer.. regarding scale and the amazing landscapes and the fact you will be able to team up with your mates and go to war in a fun amazing way with loadout and weaponry that will keep you up all night pew pew pew'in!!, and this is not to mention all the things we have not seen so far. It amazes me that this game can fit so perfectly into the slot that Planetside 1 left for it. Well done to everybody, not just the dev team but the community as well for taking enough of an interest to make this what it has become. It also amazes me how much of a community this game still has, even after all these years, and this isn't just the folks who still play, there are many many folks who will come back and have been waiting to do so for a very very long time! Honestly......... I cant wait for this.. Morto. Last edited by SuperMorto; 2012-03-18 at 07:40 AM. |

Woah there buddy, calm down before you blow a fuse.
But mostly I agree with you a whole lot. I'm absolutely sick of the gaming industry in general over the last few years. There are been a few, very few, good titles and those few titles I usually still end up feeling something like, "Why did they copy this piece of retardation from this shit game here instead of copying this other awesome part from this other decent game there when they're both made for the same exact thing?" or "Wait, they put that into the game? Why?! There is already tons of precedence from multiple other games from the last decade that proved that idea just plain stupid." Just trying to building the bestest awesomest gamest game of the decade isn't worth the breath used to talk about it if they don't learn from mistakes. I'm super glad that PS2 Team seems to have that all well in hand. Oh and the fact that they're not trying to appease everyone, that PS2 is made from the ground up as a FPS first and staying well clear of repetitive dungeon monster AI and randomized treasure hording. It's a game that is so good, it ruins the fun in all of the other ones.
It's like having sex with a Victoria Secret model on extacy. Nothing will ever come close.

The only thing that could make the whole experience even better is if T-Ray, Higby, and Smed got to have their own godly SUPER MAXes so that they could battle each other like colossal titans while the rest of watched in shock and awe!
*Higby hurls a Magrider at T-Ray for 9000 damage!* *T-Ray hurls Smed at Higby and stands alone on the field of victory!* I'm a tad excited too. |

I never played planetside 1, but am hopeful that planetside 2 can be the sort of game we need to break the monotony of wow clones and other games where pvp is horribly limited to fighting in a tiny space.
Even supreme commander 2 turned epic scale combat into something pathetic and now that game has died a death. I want some massive in my mmo and i want some team based pvp. |

I told myself I wouldn't ever be excited for another title due to developers stopped putting as much passion into a title and simply move on, that's the business model of today. I don't hold it against them because they want to make money but that's the only motive now a days. I have no problem supporting a developer who listens to their community and produces content that doesn't interest the investors, but their community.
Also I've become obsessed with Planetside 2 and I check PSU about 10-15 times a day.... And beta is still well over 2 months away. |

I'm so infatuated with PlanetSide 2, I would rather sit on these forums than play any other games. Like many others, I have hundreds of games on my Steam account, but they just seem shitty compared to what PS2 will offer. So I can't bring myself to play them anymore.
