Btw: I doubt it's coincidence but I like that touch about them. Desert and arid environment plants having the design where their leaves attempt to catch and divert rain inwards rather then Rainforest and Snowy regions where plants are made to shed water instead. The first thing I thought when I saw this image was that Higby took one screenshot long ago when he heard that PSU was getting a facelift, but it ended up taking so long that now screenshot is very old  This is basically just the kind of screenies of Vanguard we saw in the very first as we started getting screenshots.
