I'd love to see SOE put more into PS2 that highlights the war between the three empires. We've always just been fighting, why not give players ways to experience scenarios that would reference vanu's lust for alien technology or nc's passion for freedom.
I'd personally love to be involved in a themed engagement, possibly randomly generated weekly, that would have my TR trying to quell deserters(dirty NC) in a area that might have some vanu technology. Maybe the mission has the empires crossing paths at some point to cause a big engagement. Winning a scenario could provide a buff to resources/points/whatever for a day/week/whatever You could do many different things to keep it fresh and interesting for the players, hell even giving empires special items related to the scenario would be fascinating to make the world feel more real. I'm imagining some mining equipment that VS has brought in to remove some alien tech that would be usable. Best part about this is that SOE could easily make one scenario here, another months or years down the road that perhaps highlights new developments in the conflict beyond players capturing territory for resources. I'm really hoping SOE will have the resources to at least show us a little bit of what went down when VS and NC broke away from the TR. A epic cinematic would be sick. Would be funny if the introduction for each empire was a slanted view of the breakup between the empires. |

Totally for anything that adds spice, story and diversity to the game beyond the standard game play. This kind of thing adds immersion to the world and would really add to the standard gameplay, a sort of higher command creating faction total missions that provide benefits and incentives ultimately culminating in large faction faceoffs for their final goals when they all converge, with one faction finally succeeding. Mini end game events within the larger conflict if you will without having an end game to the larger conflict. Tapatalk. |

Having more interesting objectives and "game modes" beyond team death match mixed with take-and-hold is going to be one of the bigger issues people will likely have with the game. Having a variety of more interesting objectives would be a huge asset toward keeping people interested for a long time. Making the objectives themed would be a pretty cool move, too.
Either way, a good idea, one I have always supported. |

Huh. I like!
Something like raids in other games, but obviously all player-based enemies. Like a Vanu relic that the NC want to use to finance the rebellion and the TS want to use to manipulate the fearful population... each faction having a different objective around the same object and significant rewards for accomplishing it. Have it be "discovered" by Nanite Systems, Vanu has to carry it through an NC border territory and gets more points for it remaining less damaged, NC gets more points for more damage to it, and TS gets super-mega points for stealing it and none at all if its taken or destroyed by the others. Of course, all three factions need not be involved in all of these scenarios, 1v1 works too! |
