Few details popped up in the PC gamer article on PS2 that i havent seen around yet:
-C4 on Vehicles "And that i can strap C4 to the headlights and make my bike into a bomb" -Engine Customisation "And further, that I'll be able to decide inb that vehicle's certification tree - Planetside 2's skill system -if I'd rather have a high-horsepower low torque spec or level-up a high torque, low horsepower variant for hill-climbing" -Max Weapons "When i spawn as a MAX suit .... I blast away at scattered infantry with seperate weapons assigned to each mouse button. The stopping power of my chaingun arm and grenade arm is offset by a rigid turning rate..." -Types of Missle Lock "Higby...starts talking about the different missle lock mechanics they'll be adding, "from heat-seeking to camera-guided to laser-guided, and all those will be different upgrades that you can use"" Last edited by Juneau; 2012-04-04 at 07:38 AM. |

Friendly fire is a natural balance to area-of-effect weapons. Knowing when to use them without hitting friendlies is a skill. Hitting friendlies once in a while when necessary is also ok since the grief system leaves you some room about it as long as you do not do hit too often or on purpose. As for the Engine customization you can do on vehicles I must of missed that. I find that very interesting and can't wait to hear/see more about it. |

I got really excited at the idea of engine customisation, imagine knowing that your fighting in a particularaly hilly area and customising your bike so that you can outrun pursuit up them, or if it extends to air vehicles balancing top speed and acceleration, hover stability/transition or length/regeneration of afterburners, it opens up a whole new are of customisation although i can see it causing alot more balance issues |

Wouldn't we have charges that have timers and be able to have variable yields? |

If it gets in the game just be prepared to see 50 different version of Jihaddislayers outfit or Kamakzii w/e outfit. Where all they do is that crap. |

Wait... It's a world where death is covered by actual respawning of replicas, where nobody actually permanently dies, and people think that suiciding with C4 wouldn't be a tactic they'd use under those circumstances?

With that said if it makes it into the game then w/e. I'm not gonna cry over spilled milk. Just expressing how I feel about it. |

The alternative version is taking an ATV, driving it into the side of the enemy tank, getting out and throwing the C4 on the enemy tank, having the same effect but being nowhere near as fun for the person doing it. If tank drivers have zero situational awareness they deserve to get herpderped by a bit of jihad jeep beep. Everyone's taking it all a bit too seriously, this is not a simulation game, it's a fun game, with fun things to do. It'll should stay in because it's solidly fun. |
