A Simple Sniping Suggestion.

Most of you here (I'm saying a good 89% of you) have plaied Halo for X-Box. If you ever have plaied in in multi player you proubly learned the sniper is a great rifle/gun to use. Turning off shields and keeping health at 100% is a great way to play a round with it. The shot with the rifle is always straight and powerful. the farther away from a target you are the better the damage. Thats where planet side comes in. The farther away the shot the more the damage. The farther away the shot the more the damage.

A way of a skilled hit making it a one shot hit (the harder the shot the better the damage)

Please tell me you see this as a good idea (but dont tell me how im copying halo... you know I'm not)

How would a shot from further away do more damage then a shot from closer?

There are a lot of discussions on sniping and honestly people are growing weary of discussing them. Especially if you're like me and believe you should play it in the first place before opening debates on changing such things. I'm not saying that IS the reason noone replied, but it's a good one. People are really growing tired of beating snipers around all day. :o

I'm confused not only on the coherence of you post but also on the concept. How can something hurt more from further away? Doesn't that defy Newton in about every way?

I doubt that the sniper damage you speak of will be implemented.

I kinda like the idea.... further away the sniper is the more damaging the round is. Yeah yeah, not realistic according to the laws of physics but PS is a game..

The bolt driver should be able to 1 hit kill MAXs, pure and simple. It's only logical.

kinetic missiles hurt more at farther distances, because they are self proplelled, and need time to accelerate...

i hope there is camping. its the only thing real about war. people hide and when people come they shoot. Assult my ass for all i care. I don't see why everybody made me feel my suggestion was sh*t. I really dont care wether there are 10,20, or 100 post on this topic. If there are this many post its because people heard something they dont like or trust. EX. a great game that is ruined by the over use of a jet pack or a rocket or a saw. It happens in every game and apperntly the people who love nipers want to voice out on it. so wether they be 1 million f*ck*ng topics on the subject every one of those people is intilted to there suggestion for the game. Wether they be a noob or someone with 1000 post!


P.S. I dont even plan on picking up a Bolt Driver!

My belief that if you haven't tried it; don't suggest to change it still stands. I believe the Devs are plenty competent in what they are doing. Unless you've Beta'ed and seen the gun for yourself and know the flaws of useing the weapon, you aren't really entitled to saying "this won't work, change it".

Whoah, Mark, calm down. No one said it was stupid, it just defies Physics, which isn't an easy thing to do. I don't want campers, actually I DO, but other people don't. I wanna be able to ram missiles down the "lone wolf 1337 snipa killas" that think thye are invisible in that tree cover.
