I wasn't sure if this had been mentioned in the past, but I always thought a homing beacon would have made a nice little feature back in PS1. The way I imagined it was that if you happened to find yourself separated from your vehicle, you could click a button that would send the vehicle to you without a driver; maybe some type of autopilot? In PS1, I had a tendency of being on the opposite side of the continent when my Mosquito was on the other. The homing beacon could have been useful, especially if I had a timer.
This isn't really an important feature, but if PS2 has similar mechanics in this regard, I could find it useful. Last edited by basti; 2012-04-16 at 10:24 AM. |

I have to think that if you've gone off intstant actioning then honestly, you've shifted gears so much that it makes more sense to have you just pull a new one. HART dropping would involve leaving the continent first, so the thing would have auto-deconstructed anyway..
If you just want a way to reclaim some resources from a used vehicle then I think it would make more sense for deconning to give you a partial refund. |

I see no need for this, but I don't see the harm in it either. Better yet, have whichever vehicle you own be permanently shown on your world map/continent map, with an arrow pointing which way it is on your minimap (with a toggle option to remove it from your minimap if you don't want it obstructing any of your view).
Seems like it would be easy to add and may help disoriented noobs. The more you help noobs without ruining the rest of the game, the more percentage of them will stick around to shoot at and, just maybe, even start learning to be decent players. |

Just have your vehicle display on the pull up map. I think it will be useful.
Park your mossie outside, join the base fight, walk out and you don't have to sort through the many other aircraft. With physics and the fact that pilots normally push other pilots planes off pads so they can land this does make sense. |
