I personally tend to stay away from specific vendor sites due to the high concentration of fans there potentially skewing what is best for a buyer. Anyway I suggest checking out hardforum.com (Hard OCP's forum). Browse through the general hardware section with the builds there and the other sub forums to get a idea of whats going on in the tech world. Other good ones are Anandtech, Guru3D, and Hardware Canucks. Some are not as popular though.
