In-game statistics display

As everyone knows, shooter standard is to hit Tab or something and it shows a list of all 32 or 64 players and their kills/deaths, ping, and points.

Now, in PS2, showing all players is hardly possible. I have a good what the in-game stat window can show for the player himself, that would probably default to stats for the current playing session.

But what would it show for other players? And who? Squad only? Your outfit? People on your friends list? And what would it show for them?

Planetside is about the Team/Empire. Not the individual. I really dislike all the Session based thinking already in this WAR game.

That only works in round based things. Planestside is certainly not round based and so having a hotkey to display kills etc. is just pointless.

I imagine there will be a way to view an individual players statistics and maybe even and outfits but this is not something that needs to be accessed in the middle of battle so can be easily placed somewhere in a sub-menu.

How could we make it more about the Empire then? How about if you hit tab, then whatever hex you are in, the default statistic is who owns the hex, how long they have owned it, how many individual capture points have changed hands in the last hour, etc?

They can make a ton of statistics: session based, hex based, player/outfit/empire, etc...

I do hope they make a lot of them and ways to track them. I especially hope they do not forget SUPPORT stats, whether session based or long-term character based.

PS2, a game for killwhores, stat-whores, support whores, etc... The more, the merrier.
