Great pic of TR vs VS from Gamebreaker interview

I thought this pic was a nice little showcase of troops charging into battle. And also gives the VS peeps a chance to see their scythe in the air again.

Lol and it looks like a TR cloaker forgot to hit his invisible button.

No one has ever accused the TR of intelligence. Not when they follow their tyrant masters like sheep.

Embrace the capabilities of your mind! Embrace technology!

I don't know why, but this is the first PS2 screenie I've seen that immediately reminded me of past experiences in PS1. I guess that vehicle/air/infantry feeling is really starting to come together for PS2.

Something about that landscape is giving me a distinctly Forseral feeling as well. It just simply looks like something you could see in the original game, only with the new assets.

One thing about Planetside is that to truly capture the feel of the game in a still screen shot, you have to capture events that aren't typically found very often in normal gameplay. While playing the game, you can marvel at the scale of the battles, because you can drive from one base to another with dozens of unique groups each containing dozens of unique players, all fighting it out in different (but nearby) locations. Sometimes you get a massive convergence, but it isn't the usual moment to moment gameplay. It's like in any 16 vs 16 FPS map, where despite having 32 people near by, you rarely have more than a few of them on screen at one time.

So to truly capture the feeling of massiveness, you have to capture those rare moments when 50 aircraft bombard a base, or when all three empires converge on a single tower fight, things of that nature.

One thing I can't wait for are the standard group shots like we would do in the first game, only with PS2 quality graphics. 30 to 100+ players all lined up in their favorite armors and vehicles. Good times.

The uncloaked TR is pure strategy.

There are vehicles and soldiers armed with dangerous weapons. That infiltrator only has a pistol but everyone will shoot at him for an easy kill while ignoring everything else.

TR Tactics ftw.

Silly TR, that's what you invent magic holographic decoy technology for.

That's just like you Terrans, always relying on our Vanu given respawn technology instead of being a little clever.
