What's the source footage? I don't recall seeing anything but rockets being used.

WOW. This really does an awesome job putting perspective on how these cockpits will look in game. I do hope that when you turn, dip, roll, etc. The 3D cockpit "moves" though. What I mean is more that your view shakes, and your character in the cockpit sort of looks around inside it so it doesn't stay static like an overlay.

Damn Morto, you rock. That is very awesome. I flew Liberators a bit in PS1, but I think with the new advanced flight physics, I may have to redouble my time in them, If I can manage it considering I'll probably be spending extra time in a Magrider and as infantry this time as well.

Either way, it looks like the view from inside will be fun.

I second this. Did you do all of that with editing? Pretty impressive shit, however you did it. Aside from the movement being a little too fast (being footage from an ES fighter not a Liberator after all), it looks damned convincing.

Yep, Higby confirmed this on SuperMorto's Reaver cockpit view video. Still, this gives a great hint at what it will look like until we see some real footage, or get into beta.

I hope the cockpit moves around as well, or as long as there is a 'free look' button so you can look around your cockpit to see stuff above or beside you without turning the whole aircraft to see.

The best part of it is that it will make dogfights a lot more complex. A lot easier to potentially shake someone off your tail. Thus real world wingman tactics will be a lot more useful.

It's a nice vid, well done Super!

I did notice the aircraft health icon shows a reaver, so I guess the cockpit has been laid over reaver footage. But I've seen no video of a reaver firing machine guns. I guess Morto has his sources!
