With all of the footage being released (I've seen around 1 hour and 15 minutes total from my brief youtube visit today) I still have yet to see footage including my favourite class--the Infiltrator!
Anyone else looking forward to learning about the infiltrator? More importantly, does anyone have some footage of this class so my PS1 dreams aren't crushed by my worries of "Uber 1337 sniper cloaky" infiltrators instead of the base & sabotage ones I love? |

On the newest footage clip. TB: 'Planetside 2 - Night Ops'
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...gC6Exs0U#t=385 He just switched to an infiltrator, activates cloak and takes a few shots at a scythe. |

Thats not as bad (and triggers a memory of someone speaking about the various types of cloaking).
But it is a fine line between adaptive camo and headshot instakills from ppl you can not see. I just hope that the infiltrator role still has options for people that prefer mi-close range engagements. |

He switches to an infil around the 6 minute mark. Regular infils will have full unlimted full cloaking like PS1, but sniper cloakers only get limited cloak and limited cloak time. You can see the cloak timer in the bottom right, and it works and looks like the jump jets bar. Bags was correct, it lasts 10 secs before it falls off and starts recharging. He is zoomed in so you can't see it fall off but it does start recharging just before he shoots.

Thanks for the replies guys! I'm glad that regular PS1 style cloakers will have unlimited cloak, while they add a new element for those who want to be sneaky but aren't adept at running through bases and having little environmental impact to avoid being seen. Maybe I might try a combat infil myself, it looks like a cloak with an SMG could be fun.

I really enjoyed how they did the infiltrator in PS1 you can be pretty much invisible standing still but the more you move the more "wavy lives" or "artifacting" you see. Its just a shame that there was so much cheating to see infiltrators.
