Just wondering if anyone thinks that beta will actually be covered by NDA, I know that's fairly usual for new games and development projects, but I kind of see it not applying here.
Firstly because its Planetside! I mean, its a new game on a new engine, but its a reboot of a game that people will either know of or can find out about quite easily. Feature wise it's going to fairly standard FPS, its defining feature (truly massive scale) is well known about already. Secondly because we've seen a shit-ton of stuff already, the stuff that has been embargoed only really seems to have been so that it can be given to different sites to generate buzz. I think we'll have seen most of what's going on by the time we're in beta. Thirdly because with it being free to play - the more buzz and internet chatter about it, the better imo. |

I dont see why they would have an NDA with an open beta. Its literally shooting them in the foot if people cant make videos and be like 'Play this its awesome, look". Closed betas are a different story. But definitely for open, it should be open.
