I would like to see an upgrade that would allow the nose cannon and rocket pods to be moved independently from the aircraft (like the weapons on atvs in ps), except they would only be able to ascend slightly or maybe not at all since they are mounted under the aircraft. The only problem I can think of is that such an upgrade would probably require a joystick to fully take advantage of. Is this something you guys would like to see implemented?

How could you control it?
You'll be using the mouse for pointing the aircraft where it needs to go. You'd need a second analogue stick somewhere. It only worked in ATV's since you moved left or right with keys

That is why it would be an upgrade instead of a standard feature, those who had the upgrade would be forfeiting another upgrade in that same slot. I think it would be worth it though, since it would allow the pilot to aim the weapons without moving directly towards the target (the target would obviously have to be within the pilots field of view though). An example of a use would be that pilots could pull up sooner when dive bombing a tank, since the weapons could tilt down.

Your aim precision would be *terrible.* As such, this isn't a worthwhile feature to include. |

guns maybe but rocket pods no. they are meant to be a fixed weapon as they are on todays aircraft.
if you are to do the guns this would need a gunner as you could not fly and control a gun at the same time.

I could be fun if they some how worked out appropriate controls, but at the same time i think it would dumb down dog fights, which I wouldn't like. Maybe I should say it would reduce the skill cap for flying abilities while dog fighting rather than dumbing down.

this seems like a very hard thing to control in the game. it seems simpler to just turn the aircraft. now the exception to this would be if a liberator pilot could give control of the front gun to the gunner. so i think its a good idea but even with a joystick would be almost impossible to control.

It makes more sense to have a 2nd seat and a gunner than to have a rotating turret system on aircraft.
I can conceptualize a system like the OP described in my head, but it just ends up being ultra wonky to actually use. Maybe for air to ground weapons, the angle is down 30 degrees instead of straight forward, or the player can press a button to switch between forward-firing and firing at a downward angle.
