This.. is cool..

I say this as someone with a general distaste for mobile tie-ins and parallel apps, but SOE showed off a genuinely impressive PS2 iOS/Android/web app that, in addition to serving as a wiki for weapons and faction information, shows territory control in real-time and allows you to join VOIP channels without being in-game.

Absolutely blew my mind. So I can get home, begin to unwind, and start talking to my buddies from my iPad or other device about our strategy before I even start up the game.

If this VOIP system delivers in every other way, then it will be glorious.

Lameeeee. I hate the fact that I either have to use a phone that does what I want it to and suffer from never having the cool apps, or get cool apps but lack all the stuff I need.

I have a Windows Phone too and I don't see myself changing soon. Perhaps maybe with WinPhone 8 on the horizon, SOE may release an app for it later.
