After lapping up every second of footage available from E3, (thank you to all involved) I have a concern with the bright red names over enemy names so easily seen from far away. Especially at night its way over the top. I think it removes the use of well executed tactics from all sides. I diddent like it in PS1 and now i like it even less in PS2. I know this was considered Alpha footage and it may change so save that comment. I just hope this is turned way down. I also hope this is seen as constructive criticism and gets to the right people.

I didn't really notice them much in the Livestream footage... it seemed as if you had to have at least put your crosshairs over them for the names to pop up.
I'd like to see enemy names at least some of the time so that I know who they are (i.e. If it's Goldhaze1 then I know to GTFO because I'd better just run back the way I came). |

People die in a couple bullets and you're penalized for killing friendlies. There won't be a lot of leeway for mistaken identity. Plus, with the rainbow vomit camouflage patterns, everyone is going to be running around looking like a multi-coloured pile of shit, so you'll need red names/crosshairs to help ensure you don't cap your homies.

That's still the same as if you had red names.
Friend = Green / Enemy = Red is the same as Friend = Green / Enemy = Nothing. Both shows me who the enemy is. Yes, seriously. Only if the name was displayed permanently. Last edited by captainkapautz; 2012-06-08 at 07:11 PM. |

as this only happened once damaged or seemed to be when called out by a friendly (hitting q while targeting) this is good imo, the only thing I fear is randomly scanning the horizon and spamming Q to hit everything, but I figure that is a hitscan calculation so you have to be at least directly on them.
I like it. |
