How do I uninstall Direct X 9.0?

I installed it and my computer has not been running aswell since. Specifically, I have a number of programs that like to hang now that I have 9.0 installed.

(btw all my drivers are up to date)

Pretty much, its not possible without a re-install of windows.

Remind me to thank Microsoft for that.

I know if you download DirectX 9 from MS it's not possible to uninstall it. I'm not sure about the runtime version though.

Actually you can remove dx9; I have done it successfully.

Unfortunately I don't remember how but essentially you need your windows disc and a program that hot swaps the dx8 files from disc to your dxfolder. search google for uninstall dx9 and you WILL find it.
