Looking for an organised outfit

Hi everyone. I'm new to Planetside, but not to teamwork or FPS games. I'm looking for an outfit that's actively working together and focuses on coordination. I'm undecided as to which faction I will be focusing on and will probably try them all out during the beta.

I'm also in Australia (GMT +10) which makes participating in organised attacks difficult. On the topic of Australia, I heard a rumour that there isn't an Australia server currently planned. Is that correct?

Hey Guy, Yes that will most likely be correct, SOE tends not to create an Oceana server for their games, besides you wouldn't want to play on it anyways I imagine, quite a mix of languages!

I'm from Ghosts of the Revolution, we're an East Coast Vanu outfit, you sound like someone who would fit in with us, we're a very team based outfit and are one of the oldest outfits still active today. It's no coincidence, we run raids that will knock your socks off.

We have several divisions, which all support different play-styles, so you'll easily find somewhere to fit in.

We have a dedicated mumble server, we extensively use Voice Coms, and we have a dedicated Minecraft server which is a nice perk.

We have had quite a few members from Australia and New Zealand over the years, and they have been wonderful for running squads and organized play at hours other people just can't handle.

That's too bad about no Oceania server. I'll have to deal with some annoyingly high ping. Hopefully that isn't an issue or SOE perhaps change their mind at some point.

I read your highlight earlier today, as a matter of fact. You do sound like an outfit I'd be interested in joining if there was a large enough number of New Zealand or Australian players as the Thursday night raids are 11:30am on a Friday for me, which unfortunately is a day when I work. Are the Thursday night raids your only large scale raids or do you have others on different nights as well (apart from the themed Sunday night raids, I mean)?

Most of the other raids on the other nights are divisional practice nights just to keep people sharp during the week, or to give other people a chance to play with the other divisions.

As to the number of players we get from Japan, Australia, Korea and Australia around your time zone only time will tell, no pun intended. Optimally you'll be able to find an Oceania outfit, and I have no doubt that they'll start forming during Beta. But a lot of us I imagine will be playing Planetside 2 pretty late into the night around when you might play, so if you can't find anyone else you're always welcome!

I do hope there's an Oceania server but only time will tell. Hopefully PS2 really takes off and SOE can afford more servers.

We are very team and organization focused however we are not super serious all the time. If you are looking for something a little less serious the above ideas are good outfits.
