Well i decided to build a PC i was talking to my Dad at dinner, and i found out he learned how to build computers during college, so he going to help build my PC.. Plus i looked up some recent tutorials for help
Well here are the components i looked up (Haven't ran this by anyone yet) Case- Master HAF- 912 (59.99) Power Supply- COOLER MASTER GX Series 650W (79.99) Motherboard- ASRock 268 Extreme3 (114.99) CPU- Intel Core I5-3570K (234.99) Im not overclocking idk how too, and i don't want to mess up the computer RAM- CORSAIR VENGEANCE 8 GB x 2 (46.99) Graphics Card- Sapphire Radeon 7770 (134.99) Storage- HGST Deskstar 7K300 2TB 7200RPM 64 MB Cache (159.99) Optical Drive- Lite-ON Black 18 x DVD ROM (18.99) i dont watch blu-ray I am mainly going to use this pc for gaming nothing else Sound like a good first build and am i missing anything else? i tried to stay in my budget of $700-900, O how much do you think shipping will cost, i'm getting this from new egg, im still deciding if i want to ship it all at once... O and sorry for the long post and multiple started threads today i hope you don't think i'm spamming the forum

Really, you should just keep posting in the same thread so it's easier to keep things straight.
That videocard is not very good. Drop your CPU to a non-k series (as you're not overclocking) and go for a smaller hard disk to free up ~$100 at least. Newegg will estimate shipping for you. Here's what I put together, I went to ~$900 bucks because I think you're far better off: http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=15423954 Went with a Z75 motherboard, because, why not? Non-K ivy bridge CPU saves you some bucks. I don't like memory with pointy heat spreaders. half the storage for less than half the price You can do whatever you want for a case, this one seems inoffensive. GTX570, hard to beat at $280 (It's what I've got works great at 1080p in modern games)...AMD might have options 7850 or 6970? If you want to swing an extra $150 at the thing go with a GTX670, which is a substantial upgrade. You don't need a windows key, yeah? if you do add $100 Otherwise it's $866 + 12 bucks shipping.

I will throw together a build for you tomorrow, there is a little optimization for us to do here (like Rbstr mentioned, slightly different mobos, cpus, gpus, and if you're not overclocking, could probably get away with a lower psu wattage).
In the meantime, it would be helpful if you answered Goku's set of questions in this thread.

If you are only gaming you don't need 16GB of memory. You are wasting $50 right there.
Do you have any interest in overclocking at all? It is fairly easy, but if you aren't you can save money by getting a Core i5 3450 and a cheaper motherboard. That saves you enough to put in a SSD. Otherwise you can overclock, but no SSD. Once I figure this out I'll put up a build.

Fractal Design Core 3000 ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - $69.99
Samsung F3 500GB - $79.99 ZOTAC AMP! ZT-50302-10M GeForce GTX 560 Ti - $209.99 ($30 MIR) SONY Black SATA DVD-ROM Drive Model - $17.00 Antec NEO ECO 520C 520W - $59.99 SAMSUNG 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 - $47.99 COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO - $34.99 Intel Core i5-3570K/MSI Z77A-G43 Combo - $327.98 Total = $847.92 - $30 MIR = $817.92 Possible changes: Adding Samsung F3 1TB for an extra $30 if you need extra storage Going for a 7850 2GB for a extra $40. GTX 560 Ti I believe can max this game out at your resolution. I would only consider a 7850 if you are thinking about getting a 1920x1080 monitor or even TV in the next year. Overclocking tutorial for the 3570K.

I don't understand scraping graphics capability for a CPU overclock (and halving HD space).
Considering longevity, the graphics card is going to be far more important than some CPU speed. Not to mention it's far and away better if he's ever going to pick up a bigger monitor. Spending the same to get less silicon in the hopes that overclocking makes it better is just not a sound bit of logic. If you just want to save the money, go with the 560Ti or 7850 and leave it - It is sufficient for you a those resolutions.
