Since we don't have parachutes, how about a single-use jetpack flight suit to bail out of aircraft? Unlike a real jetpack, it doesn't recharge. Once it hits the ground (impact detection) or runs out of fuel once, it disappears. It would be dicey to use and you would be skeet shooting for opposing infantry, but the mechanic is already in the game, it wouldnt' infringe upon the Light Assault's real jetpacks because it doesn't recharge. Pilots could spec into them to equip the plane with them.

We've already got ejection seats available as a utility slot customization, that more or less sounds like what you're asking for.

Interesting idea. You might like this idea also. A few people wanted them so they could fly really high and bail or jump from high places.
