Mistakes we will repeat in PS2.

Before I played Planetside, I was an Everquest player and had a lot of fun. I do not remember how many times I fell down from Kelethen with my wood elf, or accidentally auto-attacked NPC's instead of hailing them, only to have the guards crush me.

I have made many mistakes in Planetside, some with devistating consequences, and am sure I will repeat some.

- Try to shoot an enemy with a glue gun
- Load up a vehicle with the wrong type of ammo while driving, then get upset with the gunners
- Try to repair vehicles with a cycler
- Throw jammers at people running at me with a jackhammer
- Stop half way through a minefield, toss a jammer at the wrong time, and blow up half of my platoon
- Try to hack a CC with a med tool

I'm sure I did other ill-advised things, mostly from playing too much and being very tired. But hey, I never played a shooter, or such a team oriented game before, so I was bound to goof up while learning. I doubt I will repeat some of the really bad things, but I totally see myself trying to gun someone down with a glue gun again.

Anyone else want to publicly admit to messing up? I know there is more than one of you out there who has driven the LLU the wrong way..... that is one thing I never did.

Funny post

Accidentally running your vehicle over the edge of a cliff into the ocean (usually while trying to look at map and drive at same time)....

Clipping a small tree branch with a Galaxy and it bringing the whole ship down...

...full of your squad mates.

With what we've seen so far the rocks and trees might be even more powerful this time around.

From our raid blooper thread. This one goes out to my best buddy in piloting, arclegger.

11) RedKnights is driving a gal. while flying over water, his screen alt tabs randomly, sending the entire 555th into the water to die a watery death.

16) Redknights flying the gal again: drops 555th in lava on Searhus. come on, Red.....

17) Redknights, while FLYING A GAL, has a technical problem which leads to his computer CATCHING ON FIRE. everyone in the gal dies, along with the galaxy flying beneath him. way to go red. lol. (Note: Spend more than 15 dollars on a power supply. Note: Do not by a power supply from 'ollie's surplus warehouse')

192) Our Galaxy gunship just barely escapes enemy fire, after landing Redknights attempts a repair his his decimator, we all die.

Good time to remind everyone using a wireless mouse (for shame in an FPS...imo) get yourselves spare batteries to keep next to you.

If you are flying a full Galaxy and have push to talk on your mouse, you dont want those batteries to run out near any rocky out crops.

Haven't had the pleasure of playing PS1 sadly, however, I will throw this ArmA experience out there:

Bailing out too early and hoofing it to the objective on foot.

In a vanguard thinking, 'I can make it over that hill.' Taking minutes to climb it only to slide down the other side and getting stuck.

Landing upside down.

Wait, I did that deliberately. Never mind.

I've blown my tank up with AV/Deci instead of repairing it with a deci more than a few times.

Run into a MAX, panic, put away my deci and pull out my pulsar/lasher to kill the max.. >_<

Repair a friendly max with a deci.

Accidentally shoot a radiator inside a CC crowded with friendlies.

Land a lode near the enemy back lines.

Two more just came back to me.....

- Parking a vehicle in exactly the wrong spot between two trees or rocks, jump out to repair it, and not able to get back in
- One time I had a cheep 5 dollar mouse, the fire button got stuck, didn't realize it at first, and TKed a friendly lodestar while slamming the mouse on my desk trying to unstick the buttons
