GameBreaker loves Planetside 2 but hates the trailers!

He actually played it at E3, said it looked amazing, the shooting felt just right and seemed to really love it. However they did take the piss out of the voice over in the trailer and I have to agree with them that it is bad as would be better without.

He also said along the lines of it's the best MMOFPS he played at E3 and Dust 514 was just crap lol.

I agree, i found the E3 trailer really lame. the voices were so annoying.

I like the combo of these three and I like Ed whose the main PVP guy (not in this video) because they aren't afraid to take the piss out of something that looks bad. Ed is really kool because he's always got stats and spread sheets going on in his mind and he never moans about PVP balance, always seems to pick the weakest class and owns.

Ed alone made me realise in SWTOR when it launch that all the balance whiners were just wrong, people were actually trying to tell him that a class he played and owned with was weak in the chat lol.

Now the whiners got their way and the PVP balance in SWTOR since 1.2 has sucked.

Great bunch of genuine people, you can't ask for much better than that!

I think in some ways they were right regarding the trailer, but I also feel like the run up to E3 for the team must have been a nightmare, and actors and trailers were the last thing on their minds, they just wanted to have a solid game that 'felt right' to put in front of the public and have them become crazed fans like their caster.

And they are definitely right about this 'under-current' of enhusiasm, I was surprised yesterday that I was playing Tribes and people in chat were like 'oh man, gotta get me some planetside 2 beta key'

If it starts happening in Planetside 2 then I'll walk away because I cannot be bothered with the constant FOTM switching. The problem companies have is they listen to people who have no clue and just want them to patch out why they suck.

No just look at the stats you're getting back and if they don't show that something needs changing then don't and tell them to put up or shut up.

They hate every SOE trailer and always rip on how bad they are and I agree with that too. I haven't seen a trailer from them that has made me excited for one of their games ever.

They always do the same boring thing of a fly over with some bought music usually.

The trailers have been lacklustre, to be sure. Hopefully once they finish the music that has been leaked, they'll have something truly epic to work with. Also, some kick-ass beta footage too.

gamebreaker is great, but yea, the livestream was FAR better pr than any trailer soe has done.

This is the first time I even hear about GameBreaker. Those guys crack me up. I also didn't enjoy the trailers a whole lot. :\

I think they've got a cheek to be honest, what they did sounded to me like mostly self-indulgent prattle.

And when it cam to PS2 only that Gary Ghanon seemed remotely interested the other 2 didn't have a clue and weren't bothered either.

Those guys tend like like typical MMOs with wizards ect.

Its still a good show to watch though.

SOE needs to pony up and have a good company do its trailers. What they are doing inhouse is kind of amaturish. If they can effectively sell PS2 then this game will be the go to mmo of the decade.

I have to agree with the guys on TWIMMO. SOE has always struggled with trailers. All in all it was a good watch.
