Wasn't too sure from the E3 Videos maybe someone can confirm how classes will work in this aspect.
Will we have quick selection favourites we can pick... I see people switching to like MAX on the respawn screen at E3 but i personally think we need like quick favourites For example if i get taken out by a Scythe, I dont want to have to spend 2 mins equipping the right missile launchers to take that vannu trash down guess this also applies to vehicles, since a reaper might be set up for air to ground will there be a favourite we can setup where it will be already set up in Air to Air mode. when it comes to squad leading and outfit operations which i plan to be doing. I don't want to have to tell me squad to change to Air to Air Support and wait 5 mins for everyone in the squad to reset up their vehicles. If this isnt in the game i think we should petition this to get in the game. |

You can have custom loadouts for each class.
So you might have a "base assault" and an "AV" and an "AA" loadout for your HA class. I don't think we know how many loadouts per class we will be allowed, but hopefully enough to cover all the common variants, including night fighting! |

Yea, Higby showed it in video before (maybe GCD?). You will have to select the class you want then there is a drop down menu for favorites of that class, so its 3 clicks instead of PS1s 1, but its still fast.
Edit, yes they have it for vehicles too. |

I wouldn't be surprised at that. Give you one or two free and unlock the rest. Nothing wrong with that at all, since the only difference is time spent setting up the load out.
There was a lot of complaining on the Tribes: Ascend forums when they added loadouts there under a similar system (one free, three others could be unlocked with gold bought from Hi-Rez OR XP), but I never understood it. It's convenience, it's exactly the thing they should be charging for, and even there you could just use in-game currency. Getting them with in-game currency would be nice for Planetside 2 as well, but I'm not sure how necessary it is. |
