Notifications for Quotes

Perhaps I'm ignorant to this, but I just realized PSU has a notification system. Whether this is new or not is news to me, but I do like it. I was wondering, is there any possibility that we could get notifications each time we are quoted? That would make following discussions much easier from a user perspective, and would likely encourage more posting and discussion on the forums.

Would something like this be feasible?

Hmm I have not heard of an addon of that sort but it doesn't seem like a bad idea. I will see if there is anything out there for this.

I know personalitycafe has a system that notifies you whehenver you are quoted, mentioned, or thanked

Closest feature/mod I could find was this vBulletin mod. It sends the notifications through private messages though, so I'm sure it would require quite the coding hack job to make it send notifications instead.

Not that the garbage I spew is ever worth quoting, but I like this idea.
