Hello!
I am the site admin at http://MordorHQ.com and I would like to introduce our community to this fantastic group of folks here at PSU. I played the original Planetside a bit back in the days and lurk here every now and then reading news about PS2 as the release date approaches. Unfortunately, I've yet to get a BETA key for the game. As I was saying... There is a long story to our beginning as a website, even though we've been around as community for over 7 years. About a month ago, Electronic Arts shut down the Battlefield UK forums with less than a 24hr notice for all of members of the community. I personally disliked this choice and took to action, quickly bringing up a raw forum which has overtime progressed into what you now see. We managed to have many members come over to the new boards, but lost a LOT along the way. However, we are currently extremely happy with the progress we've made over the past 3 weeks. Now, you might be asking what this has to do with Planetside 2...well, being extremely displeased with the direction that EA DICE took with the game, as in, EA DICE completely destroyed the elements that essentially made Battlefield what it was(on top of being completely ignorant of the community's feedback). Being so, Planetside 2 started to gain a pretty big following in our community not only due to the game's massive concept, but the willingness of the development team to listen to its fans. We're still a relatively small community (nearing 1,000 members across the board), but we're always looking to grow outward, as we look to move on from generic-shooter #129-7308c into other more unique games like Planetside 2 and ARMA III. So, without meaning to steal any members from the folks here at PSU, I'd like to warmly invite anyone to join us in order to discuss Planetside 2 and more, all at your liking. I honestly don't mean to spam if any of your administrators consider this so, please accept my apologies ahead of time if this is the case. Cheers! Not one to speak for Hamma & PSU staff. But i'm sure they wont mind, they are more than likely just going to be chuffed that your bringing potentially 1000 more people to PS2, the guys here are all about the game and the community. Pull up a chair and make yourself at home !

Yes it is, its relative because it means that the word is spreading and a big group of players will potentially be moving from BF3 over to PS2. I've heard a lot of talk about MordorHQ in the last couple of months and its nice to get a formal introduction, i'm sure we will see a lot more players coming over here from that direction.

Just as info: If you played the original PS, and still have a hold on the account you used to play PS, then all you need to do is to go to the PS2 page and sign up for beta with that account.
You are now in Veteran status, and there is no need for a key. Once they let people into beta, Vets will be among the first. You wont get a key, you will simply get a mail with the info that you can now get in, and a link to the client. |
